Safety notice

Please read this first

Auto3M gives reminders and study notes, not official procedures or professional advice. Always follow your company's SMS, the Master, your flag and port rules and the official texts. In a medical emergency, call a doctor or the telemedical service. You are responsible for your own actions on board.

What the notes are

Auto3M is a study and reminder aid. It is not a controlled procedure, a training course, a certificate, legal, medical or professional advice, or evidence of compliance.

Regulation notes are summaries written in our own words. They are not the official text and may be out of date. Rules change, and each note shows the date it was last checked where it quotes a limit or a date.

What stays with you

You remain responsible for your own decisions and actions on board. Always follow your company's approved SMS, the Master's orders, the vessel's and maker's instructions, your flag State, port State and class rules, and the current official texts (IMO, ILO, your administration).

If a note conflicts with your SMS, the Master's instructions or the official text, follow those and tell us so we can correct the note.

Medical emergencies

In any medical emergency, contact a doctor or the telemedical service. Auto3M does not give medical advice or doses.

No affiliation

We are not affiliated with or endorsed by IMO, any flag State, class society, equipment maker, publisher or employer. Their names are used only to identify the rules or equipment a note is about. The maker's manual and the official text are the authority.
